S.F. Homelessness Experts to Honor 3 Outstanding Leaders
Episcopal Community Services will honor three leaders who have made a substantive difference in the quality of life for homeless San Franciscans at ECS’s $100-a-plate Annual Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, October 2.
Commemorating its 30th year of service in 2013, Episcopal Community Services is a nonprofit public benefit corporation helping more than 14,000 homeless and very low-income San Franciscans a year obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services needed to prevent and end homelessness.
October 2 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco
Pam Moore, KRON 4 News anchor, is Mistress of Ceremonies.
The honorees are:
• The San Francisco Fire Department, as first responders saving lives by providing emergency medical services to the homeless men, women, and children in San Francisco.
• Barbara Creed, a dedicated supporter and former ECS board president.
• McRoskey Mattress Company, which has donated a mattress to each of our new residents in our Canon Barcus Community House for the last ten years.
Chief Joanne Hayes White will accept the award on behalf of the SFFD and Robin McRoskey Azevedo will accept the award on behalf of McRoskey Mattress Company.
